When they have this age they can control their diaphragm and start playing the songs they know

November 21st, 2008

When they have this age they can control their diaphragm and start playing the songs they know. Back in the 17th century cowboys used their harmonicas to entertain themselves and others, as well. They sang wonderful harmonica songs like Red River Valley and Clementine while crossing the plains. Let your kids try that. Of course, they might be not keen on playing wild over western themed harmonica songs but there are many other styles they can choose from. They can try Westphalia Waltz or even polka songs.

MacGyver (Season 1) DVD Review

1220

A unique and different kind of TV action series, MacGyver made its television premiere in the Fall of 1985 to much fanfare. Audiences immediately responded to the title character and his unusual penchant for turning everyday items like chewing gum and paperclips into elaborate life-saving contraptions. In this way, it maintained a slight resemblance to The A-Team, and this recurring plot device helped MacGyver build a strong cult following

With this should be combined another extract from the same writer, as illustrating the wide-spread taste for music in the British Islands at that early period. In 1171 Giraldus “Cambrensis, or Gerald Barry, Bishop of St. David”s, to give him his proper name and title in English, visited Ireland in the suite of Henry the Second; and in his Topographia Hibernia there are the following impressions of the National Music of the Irish :-

Obviously, no child behaves perfectly and some will naturally be more stubborn than others

November 19th, 2008

Obviously, no child behaves perfectly and some will naturally be more stubborn than others. But there is a line a child can cross and fortunately, you can prevent them from crossing that line (if you know where it is, of course)! It”s better to learn about good parenting early on, ideally before your child is even born, but it”s better late than never to take back control. In order to learn about good parenting, however, it”s important to understand what bad parenting is.

And this particular song is not your average Beatles classic. The AP says the track reportedly contains distorted guitar and gargling sounds — and even includes McCartney and bandmate John Lennon shouting "Barcelona!" and "Are you all right?"

Stars Celebrate Billy Elliot The Musical!

Celebs come out to celebrate and enjoy Billy Elliot the Musical’s opening night on Broadway! Mega-watt stars like Rosie O’Donnell, Kevin Spacey, and Mario Cantone join show creator Sir Elton John for the first night of Broadway’s newest musical.

Billy Elliot the Musical is based on the British sleeper film ‘Billy Elliot,’ which hit theaters to rave reviews in 2000. The film caught the eye of many, including Sir Elton John, who decided to adapt it for the stage. The "Rocket Man" composed the music for the show, which has been playing in London’s West End since 2005. The musical won four Laurence Olivier Awards — the highest honor in British theatre — and its success in England led John to bring it to the States.

The story follows a young boy who, in an unlikely turn of events, finds himself turning in his boxing gloves for dancing shoes much to the dismay of  his tough-minded father. Set against the historic backdrop of the 1980s coal miners’ strike in Northern England, the triumphant musical tells the tale of young Billy who battles against all odds to achieve his dream of becoming a dancer.
