Taylor Swift’s second album, Fearless, debuted at the top of a major music chart Wednesday — and the country crooner broke a record in the process!
Fearless debuted in the No. 1 slot atop Billboard’s Top 200 Albums Chart, with over half a million copies sold in its first week in stores. That marks the largest opening U.S. sales week in 2008 by a female artist in all genres of music, and also goes down as the year’s fourth biggest opening sales week overall, trailing only new releases from Lil Wayne, AC/DC and Coldplay.
Plus, when her Fearless track "White Horse" debuts at No. 13 on Billboard’s all-genre Hot 100 singles chart this week, Taylor will break the record for most Top 20 debuts in a year with six total!

Travis Barker and his estranged Blink-182 bandmates are back in contact. Blink-182 member Mark Hoppus blogs on Barker’s recovery from September’s tragic plane crash and discusses the prospects of a band reunion!
"We’re just reconnecting as friends after four years of not talking," Hoppus says on his blog. "It’s a good thing. Obviously the first question for a lot of people will be, ‘Does this mean a Blink-182 reunion?’ The answer is none of us know. We haven’t talked about it at all. Right now it’s just good for the three of us to see one another, reconnect and let the past be the past."
Mark adds in the blog: "I’m also so thankful that Travis and DJ AM made it out of the plane that horrible night. Travis is a brother to me, and since the crash he has gone through more than I can even imagine. From the day after the plane went down, when I saw him in the burn unit out in Georgia, to the hospital here in L.A., to seeing him at home, his recovery is nothing short of amazing. New Audio: Aftermath of Travis Barker & DJ AM’s Plane Crash

ET has obtained the audio of communications between air traffic controllers following the deadly Learjet crash two months ago that severely injured Barker and his deejay friend and killed four fellow passengers.
"We’ve had an emergency — sir you’re not going to be able to land runway 1-1. We’ve had an emergency — fly straight ahead," a controller at South Carolina’s Columbia Metropolitan Airport is heard saying on the tape released by the Federal Aviation Administration.
"You have to get out there. The aircraft is — there is a — flames – a fire, out on 3-0-2," a controller tells airport personnel. "And I’m not sure you can get there via that way, you may have to go outside the airport to get to ‘em."
