A New Approach To Old Guitar Techniques

d7f

Have you ever felt that you just cannot get ahead on your guitar technique? Like even though there is plenty more to learn, you just cannot seem to make any progress? I know the feeling. It happens to all of us and it is quite natural. It”s called getting ’stuck in a rut’.

Airbourne - No Guts. No Glory.

Hard-rocking Aussies deliver a second album of aural Prozac for the 21st century.

A slinky second album from the award-winning Australian teenager.

Garbage - Garbage

Mansons career-defining performance is as electrifying as it was 15 years ago.

Goldfrapp - Head First

Free of anything in the slightest bit terrible, Head First is amazing stuff.

Idlewild - 100 Broken Windows

A firm favourite amongst the Idlewild faithful, and not afraid to get heavy.

Laura Marling - I Speak Because I Can

A darker tone permeates the young folk singers second album.

Libera - Peace

Nothing new from the young choral ensemble, but well timed for Mothers Day.

Carly Simon - Never Been Gone

Pleasant rather than essential, something that would be a nice tour souvenir.

General Fiasco - Buildings

A perfunctory debut album, but surely destined for the indie landfill.

Goldheart Assembly - Wolves and Thieves

Its inherent sweetness cant fail to connect with a bigger audience.

March 14th, 2010

- During a performance, bands should not consume alcohol or smoke. If they can”t wait a few hours to partake of their favorite libation, fire them on the spot. You will avoid headaches and embarrassment down the road. In addition, you will get the reputation you will not tolerate any such behavior. Trust me. Word will get out you are a professional party planner.

I often spent my free time hanging out after school in the poolhall in our small town. Even though it had quite a few business names through the years, it had always been known as the poolhall. Once it had also been a bar but when I was a teen they no longer served alcohol on the first floor. There were a couple of card tables and some pool tables, as well. The number of pool tables was four and they were located in the main area of the room. On the second floor you could get a meal and order alcohol. The pool hall also had two juke boxes which we often used.

Video: Donny Osmond’s First Interview Since the Death of Marie’s Son

The Osmond family has turned to one another as they strive to move forward following the suicide of Michael Bryan, Marie’s son. Marie’s brothers and nephew gathered in Utah on Monday night to support the release of David’s new album, "Reflected." They also used this as an opportunity to reflect on the tragedy that has afflicted their tight-knit family.

Donny Osmond said, "Whenever there’s a situation where there needs to be rallying, the Osmonds rally around each other and support each other. And, there’s a lot of that going on right now."

Upon receiving the devastating news of Michael’s death, the brothers immediately boarded Donny’s plane to join their sister in Las Vegas. "It meant a lot to her to have us at her house," reported Donny.
