‘American Idol’ Cements Top 12, Says See Ya to Another Four

"American Idol" revealed this season’s top 12 after voters gave the ol’ heave-ho to another four hopefuls on Thursday night. Did one of your favorites get eliminated?

Katelyn Epperly, who underwhelmed the judges singing Carole King’s "I Feel the Earth Move," was first to feel the boot. "It was definitely a great experience and I’ve learned a ton," she told Ryan Seacrest.

Next, the voters decided that Todrick Hall was not "Somebody to Love," despite his animated performance of the Queen classic the night before. "This has been an awesome experience," he said. "I came here to prove that I’m not just a dancer — I can also sing — and I think I did that."

Billy Corgan Reacts to John Mayer’s Sexual Comments About Jessica Simpson

Billy Corgan has some harsh words for John Mayer, following the singer/songwriter’s quips to Playboy magazine about Jessica Simpson being "sexual napalm."

As far as it pertains to her. I think for any person who has celebrity to sort of drop rocks at somebody elses feet like that — theres things you should really just keep your mouths shut on. Theres things that should just be left alone, Corgan, who is rumored to be dating Simpson, tells Rolling Stone magazine.

The Smashing Pumpkins frontman believes Mayer is trying to self destruct, telling the publication, "Rather than take a year off or change his musical direction some part of it is irritating his soul to the point where hes trying to blow it up. Certainly a talented guy, but empathetically, standing on the sidelines, its hard to watch someone literally burn their career to the ground — speaking as somebody whos done it.

March 21st, 2010

Mitigating the issue is the requirement to be running secure and insecure processes on the same processor at the same time, and for the attacker being able to run their process as a local user. Due the spying process capturing almost 100% CPU continuously while it is running, normal system monitoring software should be alerting administrators to something out of the ordinary running on the system.

But when you look at what having a solid accompaniment does for the great song stylists, you can see how training your left hand to be the ‘band’ can give your right hand the freedom to ’sing’.

Blige remains as relevant as any of her more recent contemporaries.

Dum Dum Girls - I Will Be

Frasier (Season 5) DVD Review

1230

Along with Friends and Seinfeld, Kelsey Grammer”s Cheers spin-off, Frasier, dominated the prime time television landscape during the 1990″s. Grammer plays the role of Dr. Frasier Crane who, fresh off of his divorce from Lilith, moves back to his hometown of Seattle where he lands a gig as a radio psychiatrist. Frasier”s father, Marty Crane (John Mahoney), a Seattle cop recently shot in an attempted convenience store robbery is in need of physical therapy. Frasier and his brother Niles (David Hyde Pierce) make an effort to mend their relationship with Marty whose plaid shirts and penchant for sports and beer strikes a dramatic contrast with their wine club, opera house culture. After a little prodding, Marty and his dog Eddie (Moose) move into Frasier”s upscale apartment, and Frasier hires Daphne Moon (Jane Leeves), a housekeeper and physical therapist to look after the two cranes.

Which Is Better: Rap Or Metal?

fcc

I dont believe there is one end-all way to answer this question and it depends greatly on what aspect of each genre you are measuring.

Sugababes - Sweet 7

Sweet 7 doesnt sell the Sugababes as individuals or as a brand.

Lynden David Hall - Medicine 4 My Pain

A fine debut of unpretentious, highly personal soul.

Among the Oak & Ash - Among the Oak & Ash

The duos updating of stirring folk tales is eminently modern.

The Watson Twins - Talking to You, Talking to Me

The pair are expectedly strong of voice, but much here comprises an icy cool listen.

Brad Mehldau - Highway Rider

The pianists latest is a concept album with an odyssey-like subtext.

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart - Symphonies 29, 31 ‘Paris’, 32, 35 ‘Haffner’ & 36 ‘Linz’ (feat. cond: Sir Charles Mackerras, orch: Scottish Chamber Orchestra)

Mackerras lavishes these magnificent works with love and commitment.

Leo Gandelman - Garrincha Estrela Solitria

As World Cup fever builds, a tribute to Brazils Coltrane of soccer.

Lou Rhodes - One Good Thing

A single-toned album that does little to differentiate its maker from many peers.

‘You did,’ I replied, ‘But you seem to be doing what you think you should be doing to make

March 16th, 2010

‘You did,’ I replied, ‘But you seem to be doing what you think you should be doing to make money, and to please your husband and your children, and not what you really want to do. Both you and your mother made what I have noticed to be the biggest mistake women make in relationships. Both of you gave up your dream, gave up being who you really are, and that is why you are unhappy. In a way, we can say that you chose to give your power to your husbands and then resented them for it.’

With so many chemicals in use today, how do we know what materials can be used for what chemicals?

March 15th, 2010

With so many chemicals in use today, how do we know what materials can be used for what chemicals? Sometimes liquids to be pumped contain chemicals that are both corrosive and abrasive. Should we choose a plastic or a metal housing? Sometimes chemicals may become hot either through the process or through mis-operation of the system - perhaps, somebody forgot to open a valve. Plastic parts can weaken at high temperatures.
