RS-422
This is an advanced format of digital communication when compared to RS-232. The basic difference is in the need for four wires instead of two as the communications is not single-ended as with RS-232, but differential. In simple terms, the signal transmitted is ‘read’ at the receiving end as the difference between the two wires without common earth. So if there is noise induced along the line, it will be cancelled out. The RS-422 can drive lines of over a kilometre in length and distribute data to up to 10 receivers.

Law & Order centers around the New York City criminal justice system, where ‘the people are

November 20th, 2008

Law & Order centers around the New York City criminal justice system, where ‘the people are represented by two separate yet equally important groups - the police who investigate crime, and the district attorneys who prosecute the offenders’. The first half of each one-hour episode is dedicated to the initial revelation of a crime and the police investigation that subsequently takes place. This usually involves interviewing witnesses, following leads, testing evidence, and/or hammering out a confession. Once sufficient evidence has been gathered to charge a suspect, the remainder of the show revolves around the district attorney”s office and their attempts to prosecute the offenders. Oftentimes, the audience will be witness to unexpected plot twists, unorthodox media-driven cases, or last minute, Perry Mason-like confessions or brokered deals. Given its long TV run, the cast of Law & Order has frequently changed over the years - with only a handful of characters experiencing lengthy runs, characters such as Det. Lennie Briscoe (Jerry Orbach), Lt. Anita Van Buren (S. Epatha Merkerson), and EADA John ‘Jack’ McCoy (Sam Waterston)

Stars Celebrate Billy Elliot The Musical!

Celebs come out to celebrate and enjoy Billy Elliot the Musical’s opening night on Broadway! Mega-watt stars like Rosie O’Donnell, Kevin Spacey, and Mario Cantone join show creator Sir Elton John for the first night of Broadway’s newest musical.

Billy Elliot the Musical is based on the British sleeper film ‘Billy Elliot,’ which hit theaters to rave reviews in 2000. The film caught the eye of many, including Sir Elton John, who decided to adapt it for the stage. The "Rocket Man" composed the music for the show, which has been playing in London’s West End since 2005. The musical won four Laurence Olivier Awards — the highest honor in British theatre — and its success in England led John to bring it to the States.

The story follows a young boy who, in an unlikely turn of events, finds himself turning in his boxing gloves for dancing shoes much to the dismay of  his tough-minded father. Set against the historic backdrop of the 1980s coal miners’ strike in Northern England, the triumphant musical tells the tale of young Billy who battles against all odds to achieve his dream of becoming a dancer.
