"American Idol" revealed this season’s top 12 after voters gave the ol’ heave-ho to another four hopefuls on Thursday night. Did one of your favorites get eliminated?
Katelyn Epperly, who underwhelmed the judges singing Carole King’s "I Feel the Earth Move," was first to feel the boot. "It was definitely a great experience and I’ve learned a ton," she told Ryan Seacrest.
Next, the voters decided that Todrick Hall was not "Somebody to Love," despite his animated performance of the Queen classic the night before. "This has been an awesome experience," he said. "I came here to prove that I’m not just a dancer — I can also sing — and I think I did that."
Billy Corgan has some harsh words for John Mayer, following the singer/songwriter’s quips to Playboy magazine about Jessica Simpson being "sexual napalm."
As far as it pertains to her. I think for any person who has celebrity to sort of drop rocks at somebody elses feet like that — theres things you should really just keep your mouths shut on. Theres things that should just be left alone, Corgan, who is rumored to be dating Simpson, tells Rolling Stone magazine.
The Smashing Pumpkins frontman believes Mayer is trying to self destruct, telling the publication, "Rather than take a year off or change his musical direction some part of it is irritating his soul to the point where hes trying to blow it up. Certainly a talented guy, but empathetically, standing on the sidelines, its hard to watch someone literally burn their career to the ground — speaking as somebody whos done it.
Diana Ross announced that she will head out later this year on her "More Today Than Yesterday" tour.
The multi-city tour will kick off in Boston on May 15 and run until June 12, and will feature Ms. Ross singing her greatest hits accompanied by a live string and horn section.

March 14th, 2010All of this begs the question: should we care? If so, how? About what? There are thousands of videos on YouTube that are works of comedic fiction, humorous commentary, amateur entertainment of every stripe. Why not a series? The fact that it was a spoof doesn”t seem to have offended anyone; after all, YouTube is a platform for every sort of video expression dispensed in small bites.
Free of anything in the slightest bit terrible, Head First is amazing stuff.
A slinky second album from the award-winning Australian teenager.
Mansons career-defining performance is as electrifying as it was 15 years ago.
A firm favourite amongst the Idlewild faithful, and not afraid to get heavy.
Hard-rocking Aussies deliver a second album of aural Prozac for the 21st century.
A darker tone permeates the young folk singers second album.
Nothing new from the young choral ensemble, but well timed for Mothers Day.
Beats or no beats, this boy has something going on.
If youre fresh to the sounds of Santic this is a good place to start.
Debut album from UK reggae artist with plenty to say.
A perfunctory debut album, but surely destined for the indie landfill.
Its inherent sweetness cant fail to connect with a bigger audience.

March 13th, 2010Incredibly though, Alexander Lunev is unsigned to any record label in the rest of Europe and America as yet, however, he is rapidly catching the attention of many important players in the music industry. Alexs instrumental ambient type music is perhaps more akin to that of the famous Vangelis, whilst his methodically sequenced and lush electronic progressive genre is probably closer to that of Ryuichi Sakamoto.

March 10th, 2010We chose linux Slackware because we thought that it would suit better our needs, in terms of stability and reliability. Slackware is a conservative distribution, meaning that it only offers in its distribution package kernel versions and third party libraries, once its been proved to be stable and reliable. As a result, Slackware is one the most stable Linux operating system on the market. If the user wishes the most recent Linux kernel and libraries, we recommend to look for a different distribution.

March 9th, 2010Nine out of ten independent artist, have this misconception that the music business is about 90% talent and 10% business. That is so far from the truth that it is ridiculous. The truth is its totally the opposite. The music industry is 90% business and 10% talent. Out of 100 independent artist that I have interviewed 99% of them create a demo and submit it to every record label on the planet. Then they walk around telling everyone that they are about to get a record deal soon. To put it nicely ITS NOT GOING TO HAPPEN!

March 9th, 2010In response to this situation UK software developers, Remlap Software considered that there were probably more mp3 files sitting on web servers, than there are on all the peer-to-peer networks put togetherand they were right.
Tight, concise and thrillingly sharp, High on Fires latest is boundlessly impressive.
Ads is the most consistent and compelling composer of his generation.
Undoubtedly impressive, well-honed and slickly produced.
A credible jazz album for those who never knew they liked the genre.
A treat for fans, but younger ears might wonder what the fuss was ever about.
Long-term fans of Pollock, and The Delgados, will find their expectations met.
Lives up both to its rebellious, riotous ambition and its rich musical heritage.
Emerges from the swampland armed with an acoustic, and desire in its belly.
As hot as a deep-frozen chicken fillet, this soulless Auto-Tune-fest is one to avoid.
A super-smart pop album at the top of its game.
A transatlantic musical campaign whose eccentric heart makes it hard to resist.
Reminds us that pop and dance music can be subversive without foregoing accessibility.
