We chose linux Slackware because we thought that it would suit better our needs, in terms of stability and reliability. Slackware is a conservative distribution, meaning that it only offers in its distribution package kernel versions and third party libraries, once its been proved to be stable and reliable. As a result, Slackware is one the most stable Linux operating system on the market. If the user wishes the most recent Linux kernel and libraries, we recommend to look for a different distribution.

March 9th, 2010

Nine out of ten independent artist, have this misconception that the music business is about 90% talent and 10% business. That is so far from the truth that it is ridiculous. The truth is its totally the opposite. The music industry is 90% business and 10% talent. Out of 100 independent artist that I have interviewed 99% of them create a demo and submit it to every record label on the planet. Then they walk around telling everyone that they are about to get a record deal soon. To put it nicely ITS NOT GOING TO HAPPEN!

In response to this situation UK software developers, Remlap Software considered that there were probably more mp3 files sitting on web servers, than there are on all the peer-to-peer networks put togetherand they were right.

High on Fire - Snakes for the Divine

Tight, concise and thrillingly sharp, High on Fires latest is boundlessly impressive.

Thomas Ads - Violin Concerto & Tevot (feat. violin: Anthony Marwood; feat. orch: Chamber Orchestra of Europe, National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain, Berliner Philharmoniker)

Ads is the most consistent and compelling composer of his generation.

Shy Child - Liquid Love

Undoubtedly impressive, well-honed and slickly produced.

Ramsey Lewis - Songs From the Heart: Ramsey Plays Ramsey

A credible jazz album for those who never knew they liked the genre.

Boyzone - Brother

A treat for fans, but younger ears might wonder what the fuss was ever about.

Emma Pollock - The Law of Large Numbers

Long-term fans of Pollock, and The Delgados, will find their expectations met.

Titus Andronicus - The Monitor

Lives up both to its rebellious, riotous ambition and its rich musical heritage.

Black Rebel Motorcycle Club - Beat the Devils Tattoo

Emerges from the swampland armed with an acoustic, and desire in its belly.

Jason Derulo - Jason Derlo

As hot as a deep-frozen chicken fillet, this soulless Auto-Tune-fest is one to avoid.

New Young Pony Club - The Optimist

A super-smart pop album at the top of its game.

The Chieftains featuring Ry Cooder - San Patricio

A transatlantic musical campaign whose eccentric heart makes it hard to resist.

Various Artists - Bustin Out New Wave To New Beat: the Post Punk Era 1979-1981

Reminds us that pop and dance music can be subversive without foregoing accessibility.

2.) Set Some Guidelines For Your Band And Fans—I know it sounds like Big Brother is busting up your raging good time but when youre talking about your career, its better to be safe than sorry. Have a chat with your band explaining that extreme behavior needs to be controlled at parties where fans are recording events. Post on your web site, and your fan club or have a Pow Wow at the gig and explain to your people that, while you love all of the cool photos and videos they take of the band at the gig, there has to be a few rules for what can be shot offstage. Be honest. Let your friends/fans know that you love partying with them but that the bands reputation is an important ingredient for its success and that its vital that certain memories be enjoyed by partygoers only and not preserved in cyberspace for the world to see.
