Kids have always loved listening to their favorite music, and the louder the better much to their parents dismay. In the 1980s, the portable tape recorder with headphones which came to be known as the Walkman enabled teenagers to listen to their music as loud as they wanted, anywhere they wanted, without disturbing anyone around them.

Behind the Scenes of Michael Jackson’s ‘This is It’ Concert

Michael Jackson was busy putting on the final touches for his 50-date London concerts at the O2 Arena when he unexpectedly died. Now, ET’s Thea Andrews is with the men behind the massive production to reveal what could have been Michael’s most incredible concert tour yet!

A show filled with music, dance, stunts and pyrotechnics, Michael’s "This is It" concert was being directed by Kenny Ortega, the man who designed Michael’s "Dangerous" tour, choreographed ‘Dirty Dancing’ and also brought "High School Musical" to the world. Kenny says that Michael promised "the concert of a lifetime" and was prepared to deliver.

"We [had] some fun things planned," he says, referring to gigantic spiders, 20-foot puppets, a flaming bed, a pole dancing aerialist, a 3D movie and plenty more magic. "It’s complex in scale and it’s as big as anything I’ve ever done or attempted to do for an arena production."

Just In: Michael Jackson Rehearsal Footage

ET has the latest…

ET has just obtained the footage from one of Michael Jackson’s final rehearsals, shot just two days before his death on June 23.

The one minute and forty two second video shows the late singer wearing black pants, red shirt, gray blazer and red lipstick while performing his song "They Don’t Really Care About Us" live.

He appears strong and when he finishes the song he is all smiles.

Diane Dimond on Jermaine Jackson’s Emotional Good-bye

Investigative journalist Diane Dimond, who has covered the King of Pop since 1993, talks to ET about the new details in the Michael Jackson investigation and Jermaine Jackson’s farewell interview.

The public will be able to pay its respects to Michael at Staples Center in Los Angeles on Tuesday at 10 a.m. This is where Michael spent some of his last hours, on stage rehearsing for his London comeback.

But before MJ is laid to rest, reports of his life continue. In today’s New York Post, Linda Stasi wrote a scathing column about Michael.

Lost Photos of Michael Jackson

ET is looking back at the life of the King of Pop Michael Jackson.

In these photos, Michael is seen with loved ones at his grandmother’s funeral in 1990. The photos were taken at the Jackson family burial plot at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Los Angeles.

Michael Jackson’s Former Bodyguard’s Explosive Drug and Love Claims

Matt Fiddes, a former bodyguard of Michael Jackson, is opening up in new video footage about what he experienced when he worked with the King of Pop, and hints that Michael may have been in a relationship with a woman.

Fiddes speaks in the video at length about things he witnessed with Jackson associate and renowned paranormalist Uri Geller. "Uri confiscated injection equipment from his room and whisked it away, and Uri would scream intensely at Michael to stop doing this," Fiddes says.

Fiddes tells the interviewer that one morning "[Michael] was hard to wake." "We were extremely concerned," Fiddes says, continuing, "and I can remember it clearly now, Michael was there and Uri was shaking him saying, ‘Michael, have you taken something?’ and he would come round and just say it was jet lag."

The Natural (DVD) Review

1013

Nominated for four Academy Awards, The Natural is one of Robert Redford”s best pictures. The breathtaking cinematography, coupled with the bold original score by Randy Newman, makes The Natural one of the most memorable films of its time. A classic baseball film, based on the best-selling novel, the movie has managed to insert itself into the pop culture. Certainly no little league player, nor major league player for that matter, can escape the sounds of Roy Hobbs and his mystical abilities when stepping into the batter”s box with the game on the line The Natural is quite simply one of the best baseball films around - up there with Field Of Dreams, Eight Men Out, and Major League

History of 60s Music

d20

The decade of the 1960″s presented social and political changes that had never been seen before. In addition to this, 60s music changed the direction of popular music and Americana as a whole. This decade forever changed America, and it was the young generation, or Baby Boomers that made it happen. After World War II, there was a dramatic increase in the population. An entire generation of young men had returned to the United States and found that the entire country had been transformed from the economically depressed area they once had left, to an economic goliath. Many of them used their G.I Bills to get an education and the country was flush with new jobs. Couples were able to settle down and start a family and they did so in astonishing numbers.

Michael Jackson’s Doctor’s Attorney Speaks Out

The attorney to Dr. Conrad Murray, Edward Chernoff, gives ET his client’s side of the story, recalling the doctor’s moments with Michael Jackson leading up to the singer’s death.

The LAPD released this statement to ET regarding their interview with Dr. Murray:

"Dr. Conrad Murray, the physician who was with Michael Jackson at the time of his collapse, voluntarily contacted the Los Angeles Police Department. Detectives assigned to Robbery-Homicide Division met with Dr. Murray and conducted an extensive interview. Dr. Murray was cooperative and provided information which will aid the investigation."

Dame Elizabeth Taylor Works to Continue Michael Jackson’s Legacy

Contrary to recent tabloid reports that Dame Elizabeth Taylor was on suicide watch, a source close to the renowned actress tells ET that Taylor is helping Michael Jackson’s family carry on her dear friend’s legacy of helping others.

"Elizabeth has so much left to do in her life," the source tells ET, calling Taylor a "survivor."

The source says the actress plans to continue her fight against HIV/AIDS with her charities: the Elizabeth Taylor AIDS Foundation and the Elizabeth Taylor Endowment Fund at UCLA. The source notes that Dame Elizabeth will do everything in her
power to support Michael’s philanthropy and legacy.

Diane Dimond On Michael Jackson Autopsy: Report

Newswoman Diane Dimond has covered Michael Jackson since 1993, now she talks to "ET" about the shocking info that she says leaked in the London Daily Sun from the King of Pop’s autopsy report.

Diane tells ET, "If you look back at the mug shot of Michael Jackson on the booking sheet [from 1993], I think it says he weighs 125 or 130 pounds. For him now to be 112 pounds at death, I don’t know any fat habitual drug abusers. They always lose weight when they are abusing drugs, but I think in this case it was more than that. I think it was years and years of anorexic behavior.

"We heard testimony during the trial that he hardly ever ate. He drank, but he didn’t eat. And now we hear from Grace Rwaramba, the nanny who, by all intents and purposes, was a wife to him for 12 years, that she had a tough time getting him to eat even one meal a day, he wouldn’t bathe himself, and he wouldn’t be groomed. She said at one point, it got so bad she didn’t want the children to see him in that state."

Update: Where is Michael Jackson’s Beloved Pet Chimp?

ET can tell you where Michael Jackson’s former pet chimpanzee, Bubbles, is today.

Bubbles is alive and thriving at the Center for Great Apes in Wauchula, Florida, according to the center’s Web site.

The center reports that Bubbles was born in 1983 in a biomedical laboratory, and purchased as a young chimp by an entertainment trainer. The chimp was later acquired by Jackson and accompanied the superstar on his world travels. Bubbles retired at age six or seven, and thereafter lived at a California trainer’s compound with his chimp buddy Sam until 2005, when he moved to the Center for Great Apes.

Court Papers: Michael Jackson Did Not Have Valid Will

In new court papers filed today by Michael Jackson’s parents Joe and Katherine, the couple claims their son did not have a valid will at the time of his death.

In the papers, Joe and Katherine request that Katherine be appointed administrator of their son’s estate, and claim to the court that Michael was "intestate" at the time of his death, meaning he had no valid will. Click here to read the papers.

In a written petition to the court, Katherine says that she "intends to marshal assets of [Michael Jackson] for the exclusive used of [Michael’s] three children — her grandchildren — after payment of debts and expenses of administration."
