‘American Idol’ Cements Top 12, Says See Ya to Another Four

"American Idol" revealed this season’s top 12 after voters gave the ol’ heave-ho to another four hopefuls on Thursday night. Did one of your favorites get eliminated?

Katelyn Epperly, who underwhelmed the judges singing Carole King’s "I Feel the Earth Move," was first to feel the boot. "It was definitely a great experience and I’ve learned a ton," she told Ryan Seacrest.

Next, the voters decided that Todrick Hall was not "Somebody to Love," despite his animated performance of the Queen classic the night before. "This has been an awesome experience," he said. "I came here to prove that I’m not just a dancer — I can also sing — and I think I did that."

Billy Corgan Reacts to John Mayer’s Sexual Comments About Jessica Simpson

Billy Corgan has some harsh words for John Mayer, following the singer/songwriter’s quips to Playboy magazine about Jessica Simpson being "sexual napalm."

As far as it pertains to her. I think for any person who has celebrity to sort of drop rocks at somebody elses feet like that — theres things you should really just keep your mouths shut on. Theres things that should just be left alone, Corgan, who is rumored to be dating Simpson, tells Rolling Stone magazine.

The Smashing Pumpkins frontman believes Mayer is trying to self destruct, telling the publication, "Rather than take a year off or change his musical direction some part of it is irritating his soul to the point where hes trying to blow it up. Certainly a talented guy, but empathetically, standing on the sidelines, its hard to watch someone literally burn their career to the ground — speaking as somebody whos done it.

Based on the life and times of Ray Charles Robinson, the film follows the popular singer”s life from the earliest days of his youth to the day of his triumph over a heroin addiction. Featuring a soundtrack second to none in the history of cinema, Ray is the total package in terms of a blockbuster film - great characters blended together with an inspirational personal journey and an unforgettable musical score. As these films illustrate, a film noir ‘romance’ is rarely a just a sweet love affair which happens to be set in a dark alley. Rather, it”s usually a desperate attraction between two otherwise alienated souls who find a rare kinship in one another. But due to circumstances of their noir universe (whether external or internal), it seems their union can only lead to destruction, whether to themselves or to others.
