Michael Jackson’s Last Music Projects Revealed

What kind of music was the King of Pop dreaming up before he died? Read on for the dish.

The late star was at work on a pop album and classical, instrumental pieces, says Billboard.com. On the pop album, he was collaborating with songwriter Claude Kelly and R&B star Akon, who says Michael was inspired by popular demand for tickets to his shows.

"He said, ‘My fans are still there. They still love me. They’re alive,’" Akon says. "His kids are like his first priority, and they had never seen him perform live. He was trying to create the most incredible show for his kids."

Behind the Scenes of Michael Jackson’s ‘This is It’ Concert

Michael Jackson was busy putting on the final touches for his 50-date London concerts at the O2 Arena when he unexpectedly died. Now, ET’s Thea Andrews is with the men behind the massive production to reveal what could have been Michael’s most incredible concert tour yet!

A show filled with music, dance, stunts and pyrotechnics, Michael’s "This is It" concert was being directed by Kenny Ortega, the man who designed Michael’s "Dangerous" tour, choreographed ‘Dirty Dancing’ and also brought "High School Musical" to the world. Kenny says that Michael promised "the concert of a lifetime" and was prepared to deliver.

"We [had] some fun things planned," he says, referring to gigantic spiders, 20-foot puppets, a flaming bed, a pole dancing aerialist, a 3D movie and plenty more magic. "It’s complex in scale and it’s as big as anything I’ve ever done or attempted to do for an arena production."

Passive Aggressors may quietly withdraw, be late, be sarcastic, procrastinate, forget important

July 3rd, 2009

Passive Aggressors may quietly withdraw, be late, be sarcastic, procrastinate, forget important dates, verbally attack with a soft voice and a smile, or overeat.

Matt & Kim, Grand

Great company if you’re in a certain mood. But possibly not if you have a headache.

Acoustic Ladyland, Living With a Tiger

As with any great jazz album, it’s about interplay.

Alcazaba, Alcazaba

The idea of fusing the music of the Middle East and India with flamenco isn’t exactly new.

Billy Childish, Archive From 1959 - The Billy Childish Story

30 years of blazingly discrete music.

Bombay Bicycle Club, I Had The Blues But I Shook Them Loose

A cross between McFly and The Strokes which, all things considered, is no bad thing.

Discovery, LP

It may not be the most anticipated album of the year, but it’s surely the coolest.

Training is another area seriously lacking

July 3rd, 2009

Training is another area seriously lacking. With all the conferences, seminars, teleseminars, video training and group discussions unavailable to us in S.A, how are we expected to learn and to keep abreast of developments? Dial up is not powerful enough and anyway it is limited to times between 7pm and 7am, which is a bad time, as even if you stay up all night, it is roughly midnight to midmorning in the States. So how do we learn?

He appears strong and when he finishes the song he is all smiles.

Diane Dimond on Jermaine Jackson’s Emotional Good-bye

Investigative journalist Diane Dimond, who has covered the King of Pop since 1993, talks to ET about the new details in the Michael Jackson investigation and Jermaine Jackson’s farewell interview.

The public will be able to pay its respects to Michael at Staples Center in Los Angeles on Tuesday at 10 a.m. This is where Michael spent some of his last hours, on stage rehearsing for his London comeback.

But before MJ is laid to rest, reports of his life continue. In today’s New York Post, Linda Stasi wrote a scathing column about Michael.

So you”ve eaten well each day - that”s a great start to weight loss

July 2nd, 2009

So you”ve eaten well each day - that”s a great start to weight loss. However, you need to do more in order to shift those excess kilograms, to do this you are going to have to “burn off” the extra energy [this means fat]. Exercise in not your only weapon here - incidental exercise & normal household chores can also play a part.

Michael Jackson’s Former Bodyguard’s Explosive Drug and Love Claims

Matt Fiddes, a former bodyguard of Michael Jackson, is opening up in new video footage about what he experienced when he worked with the King of Pop, and hints that Michael may have been in a relationship with a woman.

Fiddes speaks in the video at length about things he witnessed with Jackson associate and renowned paranormalist Uri Geller. "Uri confiscated injection equipment from his room and whisked it away, and Uri would scream intensely at Michael to stop doing this," Fiddes says.

Fiddes tells the interviewer that one morning "[Michael] was hard to wake." "We were extremely concerned," Fiddes says, continuing, "and I can remember it clearly now, Michael was there and Uri was shaking him saying, ‘Michael, have you taken something?’ and he would come round and just say it was jet lag."

Michael Jackson’s Compound: The Scene Today

One week after his death, Michael Jackson’s rented Los Angeles compound is surrounded by an enormous amount of flowers, artwork and fans, who are now being kept back by aluminum fencing.

Hollywood.tv was on hand to capture the scene.

Debbie Rowe’s Lawyer to Attend Hearing

Michael Jackson’s ex-wife will be represented by a lawyer at a Monday hearing to determine custody of her children with Jackson.

There is no word on whether Rowe will seek custody of Jackson’s two older children, Michael "Prince" and Paris-Michael, both of whom she gave birth to, but ET can confirm that her lawyer, Eric George, will represent her interests at this coming Monday’s custody hearing.

A 2002 will for the King of Pop leaves custody of his children, including 7-year-old Prince Michael "Blanket" (who was delivered via surrogate) to his mother, Katherine Jackson, with Diana Ross as a back-up if Katherine was unable to care for the children. All three children are currently in Katherine’s care.

Michael Jackson Memorial to be Held at Staples Center

A public memorial service for Michael Jackson will be held at the Staples Center, a sports arena in Los Angeles.

There is no word on when the service might take place.

Jermaine Jackson on Michael’s Death: ‘I Wish It Was Me’

Jermaine Jackson is speaking out about his brother Michael Jackson’s death — and he makes a shocking admission about the King of Pop’s passing.

The 54-year-old Jackson brother said Thursday during an interview with Matt Lauer on NBC’s "Today Show" that he would like Michael to be laid to rest at Neverland Ranch, and he reveals that he wishes he had died instead of his younger brother.

He also told Matt that his family brought Michael Jackson’s three children Michael "Prince," Paris-Michael and Prince "Blanket," to see Michael’s body after he passed away. Jermaine told Matt, "The therapist thought it was important for them to see their father … so they could understand." He continued on to say, "But now they’re fine. I know it’s tough, but I think it was the best thing to do."

ET Investigates: Who is the Biological Father of Michael Jackson’s Kids?

This week a shocking report surfaced claiming that the biological father of Michael Jackson’s children is actually the King of Pop’s one-time doctor — and Debbie Rowe’s former boss — Beverly Hills dermatologist Arnold Klein. Now, ET recruits a board certified plastic surgeon to do a comparative facial analysis of the children!

"When you examine the pictures of Dr. Klein and try to compare them to Prince and Paris, there really is very little resemblance between the two," says Dr. Brian S. Glatt. "It seems to me that he would be very unlikely to be genetically related to them."

Looking at certain "giveaway" facial features such as the nose, eye color, hair color and facial structure, Dr. Glatt says there is very little similarity in appearance other than the fact that Dr. Klein and the children have light-colored skin.

Diane Dimond on the Latest Michael Jackson Bombshells

Investigative journalist Diane Dimond, who has been covering Michael Jackson since 1993, talks to ET about the latest bombshell from the King of Pop’s will.

Earlier today, ET reported that Michael Jackson’s will states that if his mother, Katherine Jackson, is unable to raise his children, he would like Diana Ross to take over the care of his kids.

"Michael always idolized Diana Ross," Diane tells ET. "There were reports he always wanted to look like her. When Michael and his brothers first moved to Hollywood, Motown sent them out ahead of the rest of the family. Katherine Jackson was beside herself that her son was living with Diana Ross. She’s always felt a jealousy with Diana Ross. I can’t see how this pleases Katherine Jackson one iota."

Jackson Family: No Neverland Memorial

The Jackson family has released a statement about reports that a public memorial for Michael Jackson would be held at Jackson’s former home, Neverland Ranch.

"Contrary to previous news reports, the Jackson family is officially stating that there will be no public or private viewing at Neverland. Plans are underway regarding a public memorial for Michael Jackson, and we will announce those plans shortly," a rep for the family said in a statement.

Keep checking back on ETonline for all the up to the minute news about any Michael Jackson memorials.

June 30th, 2009

A large proportion of Northern Soul”s original crowd came from the mod movement, with their passion for soul music. As some mods turned moved away from these sounds to embrace the psychedelic movement of the late 1960s, many mods - especially those in northern England - chose to stick to the original soundtrack of soul and ska. Some became what would eventually be known as skinheads, and others went on to form the core of the Northern Soul scene.

This step ties in with step #3

June 29th, 2009

This step ties in with step #3. Keep in mind that the ideal candidate for a job is not always the best musician. Other qualities like, honesty, work ethic, respect for others and inter-communication skills, amongst others are qualities that you”re being judged on. Weaknesses you”ve been trying to hide prior to the audition will come out during the audition and will speak volumes about your character. Would you hire a dishonest person?
