Find Reasons to Perform. A big part of being a musician is your ability to perform. That is why you need to find reasons to play your instrument in front of people. Join the school band. Start a rock group. Visit coffee houses and play your instrument. Do what you need to do to get experience playing in front of people. The more you do this, the easier it will get.

Music legend Quincy Jones, who produced Michael Jackson’s classic album Thriller and who won 27 Grammy Awards, is teaming up with a music industry powerhouse!
Quincy is partnering up with Harman International, a designer, manufacturer and marketer of a wide range of audio products for the automotive, consumer and professional markets.
"Creating memorable musical experiences is both my business and my passion," says Quincy. "The value of any production is established when the performers true talents are expressed in the studio, the concert hall, or the homes of our shared customers through superior audio equipment. New Audio: Aftermath of Travis Barker & DJ AM’s Plane Crash

ET has obtained the audio of communications between air traffic controllers following the deadly Learjet crash two months ago that severely injured Barker and his deejay friend and killed four fellow passengers.
"We’ve had an emergency — sir you’re not going to be able to land runway 1-1. We’ve had an emergency — fly straight ahead," a controller at South Carolina’s Columbia Metropolitan Airport is heard saying on the tape released by the Federal Aviation Administration.
"You have to get out there. The aircraft is — there is a — flames – a fire, out on 3-0-2," a controller tells airport personnel. "And I’m not sure you can get there via that way, you may have to go outside the airport to get to ‘em."

Is the pregnant Ashlee Simpson-Wentz going to induce labor? Big sis Jessica Simpson talked to Ellen DeGenerous about the status of her about-to-pop sibling on Monday!
"They’re going to have to [induce] — it’s already developing really quick," Jessica said at a taping of the "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" to air Wednesday.
Rocker hubby Pete Wentz described his wife as "due any moment" on the radio to Ryan Seacrest two weeks ago, and Jessica said that Ashlee has already tried a variety of different methods to help induce labor.

Two months after surviving a horrific plane crash, drummer Travis Barker made his first television appearance Sunday — thanking fans and giving them an update on what he’s up to now.
"I’m already playing my drums again, and I’m already back in the studio," Travis told Damien Fahey via satellite during the series finale of "TRL."
"It was like riding a bike," he said of getting back behind his drum set. "It was really exciting to know I still have my chops. It still felt good. I still can make it around the kit. Everything felt right, so I’m thankful to be able to play."
