Let me respond to this by looking at one of the masters of “time” or “groove”, the legendary

November 21st, 2008

Let me respond to this by looking at one of the masters of time or groove, the legendary drummer Steve Gadd. He is known as one of the drummers that has mastered time. This means that whatever he plays, he is always exactly with the metronome. You could shut off the metronome for a couple of bars and switch it back on and Steve would still be in sync with it. Yet, Mr. Gadd does not sound like a machine, far from it. His playing is some of the most grooviest youll ever hear. Why is that? Why can he be in sync with the metronome so much and not sound like a machine?

Travis Barker and his estranged Blink-182 bandmates are back in contact. Blink-182 member Mark Hoppus blogs on Barker’s recovery from September’s tragic plane crash and discusses the prospects of a band reunion!

"We’re just reconnecting as friends after four years of not talking," Hoppus says on his blog. "It’s a good thing. Obviously the first question for a lot of people will be, ‘Does this mean a Blink-182 reunion?’ The answer is none of us know. We haven’t talked about it at all. Right now it’s just good for the three of us to see one another, reconnect and let the past be the past."

Mark adds in the blog: "I’m also so thankful that Travis and DJ AM made it out of the plane that horrible night. Travis is a brother to me, and since the crash he has gone through more than I can even imagine. From the day after the plane went down, when I saw him in the burn unit out in Georgia, to the hospital here in L.A., to seeing him at home, his recovery is nothing short of amazing. Every day gets a little better."

November 19th, 2008

Thats why Im so grateful for the path I have chosen, not only because I love it but because, I never have to worry about what I might have missed. The truth is; I love music and what it does for my soul. I wake up every day with excitement because I really dont know whats going to happen or where Ill end up. That to me is a gift, not a liability. The only thing certain in my life is uncertainty and that I can always count on.

2) If possible, choose the same time and duration each day. For example, each day immediately after school for a minimum of 20 - 30 minutes. (especially before everyone is too tired). If you miss a day here and there, don”t be concerned. You could also try splitting the practice time into 2 equal sessions of 15 minutes - in the morning and afternoon.

Each year in the United States, retailers lose approximately 10 billion dollars due to shoplifting and 15 billion dollars due to employee theft. The strategic placing of dummy cameras is an efficient and inexpensive way to deter pilfering. Placement should be well thought out, keeping in mind the three locations which will get the most attention: (1) the front entrance (2) the back corners (3) the back door or loading dock.
